I love my computer, my gadgets, and my techno stuff, but when I have issues or ideas that I need to see the big picture on, I use a 4 foot by 4 foot storyboard. On my storyboard, I can summarize the big picture using real paper, pictures, sketches, art work, or ideas summarized on card stock that are pinned up in front of me. The storyboard is useful when I am trying to communicate the big picture to other people because then can see all the ideas in relation to each other all at the same time.
Suddenly, the abstract concepts become tangible on the storyboard so that other people can get the big picture in focus.
